Police arrest three people, seek fourth, in armed robbery of trailer in SE Portland

According to police, a trailer was stolen at gunpoint in Southeast Portland last Thursday, leading to the arrest of two males and a woman.

According to a statement from the Portland Police Bureau, Hovsep Agvinyan, 50, Deanna Drennan, 31, and Jason Pruitt, 48, are all charged with first-degree robbery with a handgun, second-degree robbery with a firearm, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Dustin Hilsenbeck, the trailer’s owner, was smoking a cigarette next to it on Southeast Flavel Street close to 92nd Avenue at approximately 8:12 p.m. when two men and a woman approached him, according to court filings and Police Bureau spokesperson Mike Benner. Hilsenbeck turned to see one of the men pointing a gun at him after hearing the sound of a gun being cocked.

According to court filings, the man with the gun told him to go along. Hilsenbeck contacted the police and fled.

As the three suspects hooked up the trailer to a pickup truck, the Police Bureau dispatched a plane and a drone to monitor the area. The third suspect and another individual followed in a stolen SUV, while the other two fled in the truck.

According to court documents, police quickly apprehended Pruitt, Drennan, and Agvinyan. However, authorities reported that a fourth suspect in the SUV escaped and is still missing.
