Where are No. 1 Oregon Ducks headed in College Football Playoff?

UPDATE: The Oregon Ducks are the top seed in the 12-team College Football Playoff bracket, which was unveiled on Sunday morning. They will play the winner of the first-round matchup between No. 8 Ohio State and No. 9 Tennessee, and they will get a first-round bye into the Rose Bowl.

Oregon defeated Penn State 45-37 at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday night to win the Big Ten championship and earn a first-round bye. The Ducks, who are ranked first overall, will probably travel to the Rose Bowl on January 1st to play the No. 8 or No. 9 seed who wins a first-round matchup.

The Rose Bowl quarterfinal matchup between the Big Ten champion and the CFP takes place in Pasadena, California.

The 12-team bracket will be unveiled at 9 a.m. Sunday (ESPN) to kick off the College Football Playoff selection program. The top four seeds and a first-round bye go to the four conference winners with the highest rankings.
