“On a beach, particularly over rocks and jetties, waves might go up much farther than usual. According to the weather agency, sneaker waves have the potential to knock people off their feet and drag them into the icy ocean, where they could suffer severe injuries or drown. “Avoid swimming in dangerous situations by staying out of the water. The beach shouldn’t be your grave. Keep an eye out for variations in wave patterns in the water! Spend at least twenty minutes observing the ocean. Examine its wave patterns. Before lounging on the beach or taking part in leisure activities, get a sense of the wave pattern. Keep your distance from the ocean longer than you believe is required.
