Honda recalls nearly 206,000 SUVs for fuel leaks that could cause fire

Because the fuel filler neck may separate from the filler pipe in an accident, causing gasoline to leak and raising the possibility of a fire, Honda is recalling around 206,000 SUVs in the United States.

Some 2023 through 2025 pilots as well as some 2023 and 2024 passports are included by the recall.

According to records released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Thursday, Honda claims that a mistake during installation prohibited the neck and pipe from being fully connected.

According to the company, there was only one warranty claim and no injury reports between December 2018 and November 20 of this year. There were no fire reports in the records.

If necessary, dealers will correctly attach the neck tube to the fuel filler pipe after inspecting the SUVs. Letters will be sent to owners beginning on January 6.
