A 94-year-old woman from Texas was given a citation on Friday for allegedly failing to secure a kid passenger in her car, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, and traveling at 106 mph on Interstate 84 close to Baker City.
At approximately eight miles north of Baker City, at Milepost 296 in the westbound lanes, Elizabeth Perez, a resident of El Paso, Texas, was cited at 5:03 p.m.
Trooper Tristan Sand of the Oregon State Police issued the citation, stating that the 2013 Dodge four-door Perez was traveling at 106 mph when his laser detector detected it.
$1,150 is the presumed fine for the infraction.
There is a $265 punishment for not yielding to an emergency vehicle and a $115 charge for not securing a kid passenger. Perez was also given a $265 fine by Sand for driving without insurance.
