Hillsboro police said that Alex Jimenez, who vanished Sunday afternoon after leaving his home in the Orenco neighborhood, had been located and is safe.

According to authorities early Sunday, Jimenez, 60, who has been diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s, was last seen wearing black shoes, a white blouse, and black pants.

He weighed 180 pounds and was 5 feet 4 inches tall, according to the police description. It was at 12:45 p.m. when he had left his house.
