No one was hurt when a warehouse in Northeast Portland caught fire Saturday morning, although there was a lot of smoke.
Around 9 a.m., firefighters arrived at the 6100 block of Northeast Lombard Street, where the warehouse was engulfed in flames, and sounded a third alarm. According to the agency, the structure was crammed with supplies and machinery.
According to Portland Fire & Rescue Lt. Damon Simmons, Sirius Extracts was found in the warehouse. On its website, the business claims to be engaged in botanical extraction, which includes processing premium cannabis through the use of cutting-edge and creative extraction methods.
There was little visibility within the structure, according to the crews. Firefighters eventually opened doors and windows to allow for unobstructed view while others made a hole in the warehouse’s roof to ventilate the thick smoke.
The cause of this fire, which did not result in any injuries, is being investigated. There was no damage estimate given.
