CHICAGO – On Friday afternoon, a man was shot in the Back of the Yards, and his injuries were considered to be life-threatening.
The male, who was 23 years old at the time, was sitting inside a parked automobile in the 4600 block of South Damen Avenue when three individuals approached him, brandished firearms, and fired bullets at him, according to the police.
After being hit in the back, the man was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he is currently in critical condition.
It is being investigated by detectives from Area One.
