Rachel Zamarripa, a 21-year-old resident of Texas, has been charged with the murder of her mother, Linda Zamarripa, age 58. The incident occurred on August 31, 2024, leading to Rachel’s arrest.
She faces a first-degree murder charge, though it remains unclear if she has entered a plea or secured legal representation.
Reports indicate that Rachel was responsible for caring for her mother prior to the fatal stabbing. According to the sheriff’s office, Rachel contacted 911 to report the stabbing, which led deputies to the scene.
They discovered Linda with a fatal stab wound to the chest, and she was pronounced dead at the location.
