2 Washington men arrested on suspicion of West Linn, Wilsonville burglaries

Law officials said earlier this month that two men from southwest Washington were arrested on suspicion of breaking into a liquor shop in Wilsonville and a storage unit in West Linn.

According to a news release from West Linn police and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Jimmy Cristea, 38, of Vancouver, and Kyle Dean Runyon, 35, of Ryderwood, were arrested earlier this month on warrants connected to the break-ins. Although as of early Monday afternoon, no charges have been filed in Oregon courts, the law enforcement authorities stated that both individuals will be charged in Clackamas County.

When West Linn police were summoned to NW Self Storage on Willamette Falls Drive at approximately 10 p.m. on October 16, they found the first crime. Police said that company equipment valued at thousands of dollars had been taken from a storage unit. Police were summoned back to the same self-storage facility a little more than six hours later after the same unit had been broken into once more, stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of business equipment.

Wilsonville Police Department deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspected burglary at Stafford Beverage on Jack Burns Boulevard on October 20. According to law enforcement, deputies found that a gang of suspects had broken a glass front door to force their way into the shop. According to authorities, the suspects took thousands of dollars’ worth of cash and alcohol.

Investigators were able to connect the incidents at the two establishments with the aid of security footage, and officials also said that surveillance footage at the storage facility showed a suspicious vehicle.
