According to police, two juveniles were shot Tuesday night in Southeast Portland, close to Mill Park Elementary School.
Around 8:30 p.m., officers arrived at the site near 1900 Southeast 117th Avenue and discovered the two teenage males who were hurt. They were taken to a hospital and are expected to live, according to an email from Portland Police Bureau spokesperson Mike Benner.
According to Benner, police discovered a scattering of gunshot casings near the 11000 block of Southeast Market Street but were unable to identify any suspects.
Investigators think the shooting may have occurred after two groups got together close to the school to resolve a dispute, Benner continued.
