Two guys have been taken into custody by police on suspicion of stealing over $12,000 worth of goods from the Pearl District Lululemon store in Portland.
Alexander Dunham, 28, and Tyler West, 33, were arrested on a total of 15 offenses, including first-degree theft and organized retail theft, at the Multnomah County Detention Center.
According to court documents, a Lululemon loss-prevention officer located stolen apparel being sold by West on Facebook Marketplace and alerted the Portland Police Bureau on December 5. After seeing the advertisement, a Police Bureau officer agreed to meet with a man on December 9th to purchase a Lulumenon jacket.
According to court documents, West told a police officer that he and Dunham had stolen clothing to fund a heroin habit, including coats from Lululemon. According to police, they linked the two to five thefts that began in November using security footage taken inside the store.
